The passive house institute in Darmstadt certifies planning offices as capable expert passive house planners. r-m-p architekten und ingenieure is the first architecture office in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region with the title “certified passive house planner”.
Every day we hear about rising energy costs, global warming and the need for CO2 reduction. One such measure is the reduction of heating energy in new buildings as well as in existing buildings. Passive houses need only 15 kWh heating energy per m² per year. This minimises CO2 emission along with an unprecedented degree of living comfort and cosiness.
Passive houses can be examined and certified by an independent institution, the Passivhaus Institut. A quality assurance, impossible to reach with any other energetic standard.
As “certified passive house planners” r-m-p architekten is training the next generation of expert passive house planners at, amongst others the Akademie der Ingenieure in Stuttgart and Wiesbaden, as well as at the BETZ in Großschönau/Austria. This is taking place in accordance to the test criteria of university professor Dr. Wolfgang Feist from the Passivhaus Institut Darmstadt.
This distinction takes not only into account the longstanding engagement in the field of energetic rebuilding and the high energy-efficient new building construction of r-m-p architekten. Especially building owners profit from the certification of the passive house planners. They can rely on experience, intense cooperation between all parties and the distinctive energetic and economic consciousness of their architect.
